Sectors Developed by HUDA in Sonepat City, Haryana

HUDA is short form for Haryana Urban Development Authority. It is a government facility which acquires land and develops it for various public residential and commercial purposes and then sells it on the basis of lottery to the applicants. HUDA sectors are currently the most posh places to live in Sonepat. They have well lit broad streets, water supply, power supply, sewage lines and other facilities such as parks and playgrounds for children.

In Sonepat the oldest sectors are sector 14, 15 and 23. After these sectors came sector 12 and 13. The most currently develop sectors are sector 6 and 7. After these sectors all the sectors are being developed by the private builders such as Jindal and Express builders in sector 35. Tulip, Ansal and Max heights in sector 36 and so on. This trend has exposed Sonepat to modern real estate development phenomenon which involves high rise building with flats and apartments and luxury housing societies.
